Chito Miranda composes song for son Miggy on Father’s Day

On Father’s Day, Chito Miranda has taken his hopes, dreams and message for his first son to what he knows best - creating music.

In a YouTube video, the “Parokya Ni Edgar” frontman shared his self-written song for Miggy titled “Sarap Balik-balikan.” 

The nearly three-minute video was filled with photos and clips of Miggy’s photos and clips while growing up, along with his and Chito’s memories together.

“I always think that hopefully, Miggy will get to experience all the beautiful things that he can experience in the world, so I made a song,” he wrote in the description in Filipino.

Being the experienced musician that he is, it looks like he was able to accurately express all his feelings through the lyrics:

“kay sarap balik-balikan
mga ala-ala ng nakaraan,
karanasan naming kinagagalakan,
naway maranasan mo rin.

at palaging tandaan
na nandito lang ako,
handa kang gabayan
dito sa biyahe mong ito.
sa lahat ng magandang napagdaanan sa mundo,
wala na talagang mas hihigit pa sa iyo.”

Chito and Neri, who tied the knot in 2014, welcomed their firstborn Miggy in 2016.
