Netflix to premiere 3-part horror trilogy ’Fear Street’

Attention all horror fans: There’s an exciting new thriller coming to Netflix this July, and it will arrive in three parts.

Based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling horror series, “Fear Street” follows a group of teenagers who encounter the ancient evil responsible for a series of brutal murders that have plagued the town of Shadyside for over 300 years.

The nightmare begins with “Fear Street Part I: 1994” which premieres on Friday, July 2.

The following week, on July 9, “Fear Street Part II: 1978” will take you back in time when a mysterious Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill, just as school goes out for summer and the activities at Camp Nightwing begin.

Finally, the story comes full circle on July 16, when “Fear Street Part III: 1666” reveals the origins of Sarah Fier’s curse which changes the lives of Shadysiders forever.

The series directed by Leigh Janiak features a diverse cast headlined by “Stranger Things” stars Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke. – RC, GMA News
