Netizen uses dialogue from Vilma Santos' classic film in hilarious edit of her Q&A with Bb. Pilipinas candidate

A netizen used a dialogue from Vilma Santos' classic film "Anak" in a hilarious edit of her Q&A video with a Binibining Pilipinas candidate.

During the pageant's coronation night, the veteran actress and congresswoman asked her question to Jashmin-Lyn Dimaculangan of Albay via video.

Some people said Vilma's question was intense and reminded them of her iconic lines in the 2000 film, which prompted TikTok user Jex Zares to edit the clip.

"I was like, wait a minute, how would Vilma Santos deliver that famous line using the Q and A Portion?" Jex told GMA News Online.

"So let me try to embed those lines while she was asking the pageant question and then voila, [it fit that part] and it would be funnier if the candidate would answer with Claudine Baretto's famous line too on that same movie," he added.

As of this writing, the edited video has over 6,000 reactions and more than 600 comments on TikTok.

According to Jex, "Anak" is one of his favorite movies and he just watched it again recently. He said he decided to make the video to "spread good vibes" to everyone.

"It was always my dream to work with the Star for All Seasons or kahit masampal niya lang ako on a scene with her that's already and achievement," he said.

Meanwhile, Jashmin-Lyn made it to the Top 12 of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant. 

The four queens who got crowned were Hannah Arnold (Miss International Philippines, Samantha Panlilio (Miss Grand International Philippines), Cinderella Obeñita (Miss Intercontinental Philippines), and Maureen Montagne (Miss Globe Philippines).
