Ryan Reynolds tells Stray Kids' Bang Chan on video call: 'I think you're amazing'

Ryan Reynolds and Stray Kids finally got to speak face to face!

After interacting online several times, the Hollywood actor and K-pop group's leader Bang Chan spoke via video call.

Ryan told Bang Chan that he always loved visiting South Korea, making sure to spend a couple extra days in the country.

"It's such an honor and privilege to talk to you, this is kind of crazy," he said.

Bang Chan incredulously asked, "Me?"

Ryan responded with the affirmative, and said, "Because I think you're amazing, I think all the Stray Kids are amazing."

He went on to say that he watched the group's "NOEASY" trailer "a whole bunch of times."

"You do this amazing thing where you kind of blend music with action genre, it's something I don't see a lot of people do," he said.

Bang Chan then asked Ryan about his latest film "Free Guy," which revolves around a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game.

Stray Kids first caught Ryan's attention when they performed a "Deadpool"-inspired mashup of their hit song "God's Menu" and Blackpink's "DDU-DU DDU-DU."

Bang Chan, who has always been vocal about being a fan of Ryan, also received an autographed bottle of gin from the actor. In turn, Stray Kids sent presents to Ryan as well.

Ryan also previously expressed support for Bang Chan and Lee Know's recent song "Drive" by commenting on the music video on YouTube. —JCB, GMA News
