BTS's 'Dynamite' makes it to Rolling Stone's 500 Best Songs of All Time list

BTS's "Dynamite" is going down in history as one of the best songs of all time — and that's according to no less than Rolling Stone.

The publication just released a new version of their 500 Best Songs of All Time list, 17 years after they published the first one, which they said was one of their widely read stories, viewed "hundreds of millions of times."

"But a lot has changed since 2004; back then the iPod was relatively new, and Billie Eilish was three years old. So we’ve decided to give the list a total reboot," they said.

And apparently, the fun and groovy "Dynamite" by the global phenomenon BTS has earned a spot in said list!

"Dynamite" was listen on the 346th spot.

"BTS’ first-ever U.S. Number One, as well as their first full English-language song, 'Dynamite' was a landmark, hegemony-shattering moment for the world-conquering South Korean group," the article said.

"Their intertwined vocal talent, led by youthful standout Jung Kook, put over the track — which was co-written by British producer-songwriter Dave Stewart (not the one from Eurythmics) and Jessica Agombar," it added.

"Dynamite," released in August 21, 2020, was BTS's first full English single. It debuted at no. 1 at the Billboard Hot 100, the first time the group — or any Korean act — achieved such a feat.

The song's music video also previously held the record of most views for a YouTube premiere and most viewed music video in 24 hours, before getting replaced by the group's 2021 hit track "Butter."

The MV garnered over one billion views in seven months and 22 days,

"Dynamite" also earned BTS's first Grammy nomination.

BTS, composed of RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, is a South Korean group that debuted in 2013.

Earlier this month, the Guinness World of Records announced them to be a part of their Hall of Fame, stating that BTS has collected a total of 23 Guinness World Records titles across music and social media so far. —JCB, GMA News
