This 4-year-old dog has memorized the names of his 34 toys
This four-year-old dog has memorized the names of not one, not two, but 34 of his toys!
As seen in Katrina Son's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the male toy puddle named Chico swiftly fetches his stuffed toy once its name is said.
Chico's fur parents joked that the dog can now be asked to buy groceries from the market.
Of course, every right answer would be followed by an award—Chico's favorite treats.
According to his fur mom Liza Salvio, Chico loves playing and knows how to invite others to join him.
"'Pag gusto niyang maglaro, aabutan ka niya ng toys. Ilalagay niya mismo sa may paa o slippers mo para maramdaman mo," she said.
["When he wants to play, he'll hand you toys. He'll put it in your feet or slippers so you'll feel it."]
After, Chico would even show his responsible side and clean his toys by putting them in a basket.
Fur dad Ricardo said they treat Chico as their youngest child, who has been giving them a reason to smile from day to day.
"Si Chico ang source of joy namin lalo na wala rito ang aming nag-iisang anak. Nag-migrate na sa [United States]. Para na namin siyang bunsong anak at tunay na anak," he said.
["Chico is our source of joy especially now that our only child, who migrated in the United States, is not here. He is like our youngest and own child."]
"Ngayong pandemya, napakalaking blessing sa 'ming mag-asawa si Chico. Siya ang pumupuno sa buhay naming mag-asawa ngayon," he added.
["This pandemic, Chico has been a big blessing to my wife and I. He fills our lives now."]
