Is Lee Dong Wook’s ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed’ getting a second season?

After Lee Dong Wook's "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" captivated so many fans, is it possible to see more of the mountain deity?

According to a Soompi report on Tuesday, the hit fantasy drama, produced by South Korean broadcast company tvN, may be returning for a second and third season.

Responding to the speculations, a representative from tvN commented: "We are currently having positive discussions about a second season of 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed.' Nothing about the cast lineup or the broadcast details have been finalized."

The source added: "We are planning for 16 episodes in the second season, and season one’s director, Kang Shin Hyo, will be in charge of the direction again."

Several drama industry sources reported that the second season would be set during the Japanese colonial occupation and the third season in the Joseon Dynasty.

The "Tale of the Nine-Tailed," starring Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Bum, aired last year. It revolves around a male nine-tailed fox who takes on a mission so his first love could be reincarnated. While he searches for his lost love, he meets a producer who investigates the supernatural. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
