'Bridgerton' Season 2 teaser introduces new love interest for Daphne’s brother Anthony

Netflix just dropped an exciting teaser for “Bridgerton” Season 2, and it looks like a new character has caught the eye of Viscount Anthony.

The clip opens with Daphne’s brother, Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), confronting a lady named Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) in the garden one evening.

Anthony scores her for “eavesdropping,” but Kate silences him with a long, heartfelt speech about all his requirements for a wife and the way he views women as though they were mere “chattels and breeding stock.”

At one point, Kate asks Anthony: “Are the ladies of London truly so easily won by a pleasing smile and absolutely nothing more?”

And apparently, she made an impression, because she left Anthony completely stunned and alone in the garden.

"Bridgerton" is an original Netflix series about high society gossip in the 19th century wherein young ladies try to find love in London’s competitive marriage market.
