Live-action 'Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City' drops official trailer


We finally get to see a glimpse of the new live-action "Resident Evil" film!

The trailer for "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" just dropped and it already looks promising.

Set in the wasteland that is Raccoon City in the '90s, the film will explore the origins of the "great evil" that was unleashed in the city, forever changing the lives of its townspeople.

A small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation and make it through the night.

"Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" was announced by Netflix in August 2020.

The series is written by "Supernatural" executive producer and co-showrunner Andrew Dabb, and directed by Bronwen Hughes. Constantin Film, the studio  behind the Resident Evil movies, is producing the film.

"Resident Evil" is a horror survival game first published in 1996, and it went on to become one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time.

It was adapted into a film franchise by Paul W. S. Anderson, starting with "Resident Evil" in 2002. —JCB, GMA News
