Pia Wurtzbach, fellow beauty queens battle winds, waves during cruise in South Africa

It looks like Pia Wurtzbach and her fellow beauty queens had a grand time on a yacht, even as they faced strong waves and winds!

On Friday, the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder shared photos and videos of herself with other beauty queens while they’re spending time aboard a yacht somewhere in South Africa.

Tagged in her photos were Miss Supranational second runner-up 2021 Thato Thelma Mosehle, Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida, Miss Universe South Africa 2020 Natasha Joubert, and Miss Universe 2018 first runner-up and Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green.

The photos showed the group dressed to the nines while posing with a glass of bubbly.

The video clip she posted, however, showed them screaming and laughing at the same time as strong winds and waves rocked their yacht.

“Perfect day ender to sail into the sunset. My favorite is the last clip of us girls battling with the wind & waves, and having a laugh about it!” Pia wrote on Instagram.

Her boat mates and other friends took to the comments to share a laugh about the experience.

“Please! I was dying and it got captured in 4K,” said Zozibini, adding laughing and crying emojis.

Pia arrived in South Africa to become one of the members of the selection panel for Miss South Africa 2021.

Meanwhile, Catriona Gray will also be part of the pageant, joining Zozibini as backstage host.

Miss South Africa 2021 will happen Oct. 16 at the Grand Arena in Cape Town. It will be livestreamed on its website. – RC, GMA News
