Detective Conan releases 100th volume, meets Sherlock Holmes in London

The Detective Conan manga just released its 100th volume and what better way to celebrate it than meeting Sherlock Holmes?

On Sunday, the teen detective’s official Twitter account shared a shot where he’s seen beside Holmes in London, United Kingdom.

“To report achievement of 100 volumes, I came to Baker Street in London and met Sherlock Holmes! I also had a two-shot photo taken! I was so excited,” it read, as translated by Google from Japanese.

The photo comes after it was reported that Conan Edogawa’s statue went missing in front of Yomiuri TV, according to the manga’s website

Part of the achievement is also a special newspaper that can be downloaded for free online.

Written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, Detective Conan first came out in 1994. It circles on Shinichi Kudo who hides his real identity as Conan after waking up as a seven-year-old. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
