Netflix's trailer for 'Cowboy Bebop' shows Spike, Jet and Faye in action

Good news, space cowboys! The trailer for Netflix’s live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop” has finally arrived!

The fresh clips released Wednesday gives fans a first look at Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir) and Faye Valentine (Daniella Padilla) in action.

After a suave introduction, Spike recites the ominous line: “In this solar system, if the cops and bounty hunters don’t get you, The Syndicate will.”

“There’s no happy ending here,” he adds.

John Cho also shared a special clip of the intergalactic space race going on a chaotic mission to catch a bounty.

“Cowboy Bebop” is based on a classic Japanese anime about a Spike Spiegel (a former syndicate member), Jet Black (an ex-cop), Faye Valentine (a con artist), Radical Ed (a hacker kid), and Ein (a data dog), who live paycheck-to-paycheck while scouring space for bounties in the year 2071.

The live-action film is set to premiere on Netflix on November 19.

For those who want to binge-watch the anime first, the classic and ever iconic 1998 series is also available on the streaming platform. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
