Netflix launches new website that shows most popular titles around the world every week
Netflix just launched a new website that weekly lists the most popular titles on its platform around the world!
In a tweet on Wednesday, the streaming platform said they "went back to the drawing board" after getting a lot of feedback about their metrics through the years.
"Today we’re excited to launch http://top10.netflix.com — a new website with weekly global and country lists of the most popular titles on Netflix as ranked by view hours."
The new site called "Global Top 10" features the weekly top 10 lists of the most-watched TV series and films. The global Top 10 lists will feature four categories: Film (English), Film (Non-English), TV (English), and TV (Non-English).
The lists rank titles based on the total number of hours members around the world watch the title from Monday to Sunday of the previous week.
Aside from showing the Top 10 list, the site will showcase the number of weeks the show or film spent on the Top 10 list.
It will also feature Top 10 country lists for almost 100 countries and territories to give viewers "a sense of what people are watching around the world."
Last week, "Squid Game: Season 1" topped the TV (Non-English) category, "Narcos: Mexico: Season 3" in TV (English), "Red Notice" in Films (English), and "Yara" in Films (Non-English). — LA, GMA News
