Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence try to make people care it's the end of the world in 'Don't Look Up'

The world is about to end and apparently no one really cares.

Netflix just dropped the trailer for upcoming film "Don't Look Up," a comedy-disaster movie which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as professor Dr. Randall Mindy and Jennifer Lawrence as Kate Dibiasky, an astronomy grad student.

Together, they discover a comet orbiting within the solar system and is about to collide with Earth, which will kill all of humankind.

Despite warning the country's President (Meryl Streep), and going live on television, no one really seems to care or take the issue seriously.

The two scientists try to embark on a comical journey to gain the attention of a social media-obsessed public and make them finally look up at the sky before it's too late.

"Based on real events that haven't happened," the trailer read. "Yet."

Written and directed by Academy Award winner Adam McKay, who helmed "The Big Short," "Don't Look Up" also features other big celebrities such as Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and Cate Blanchett.

It is set to premiere on Netflix on December 24.
