Neo and Trinity are reunited in the new "The Matrix: Resurrections" poster!

The two well-loved characters from the popular "The Matrix" film franchise are front and center in the latest teaser. They are joined by new gun-wielding cast members.

In a tweet, the official account of the film urged fans to "Step back into the Matrix ."

"Return to the Source," the tagline on the poster also said.

"The Matrix: Resurrections" released a trailer in September, showing Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity.

Directed by Lana Wachowski, “The Matrix Resurrections” is the fourth installment in the franchise. It is scheduled for release on Dec. 22 in theaters and on HBO Max. —JCB, GMA News
