BTS's V sets new world records for fastest to reach 1M and 10M followers on Instagram

BTS's V certainly knew how to make an entrance on social media!

According to the Guinness World Records, the singer broke not one, but two world records after he and the other BTS members created their own Instagram accounts last week.

V broke the world records for the fastest times to reach one million and ten million followers on Instagram. It took only 43 minutes for his account to hit the one million mark, and 4 hours and 52 minutes to hit 10 million.

Guinness World Record also said that the record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on Instagram often changes as new celebrities join the social media platform.

Although V was the one to break the records, all members of the global phenomenon — which also comprises RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook — now have over 20 million Instagram followers each.

They have all been posting some personal photos as they go on an extended period of rest following their successful year, which they're capping off with a handful of awards and a Grammy nomination for "Butter." —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
