Andrew Garfield says he's open to playing Spider-Man again 'if it felt right'

The Spider-Man suit has long since been passed to Tom Holland, but Andrew Garfield isn't closing any doors yet.

During an interview with Variety, the actor was asked if he was open to reprising the character, and he answered, "I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right."

He said that if the opportunity presents itself, he would have to be "very sure" about himself first.

"Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are all about service, to the greater good and the many. He’s a working-class boy from Queens that knows struggle and loss and is deeply empathetic. I would try to borrow Peter Parker’s ethical framework in that, if there was an opportunity to step back in and tell more of that story, I would have to feel very sure and certain in myself," he said.

Garfield played the role of Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man in "The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" (2014).

Holland meanwhile played Marvel's version of the character in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" (2017), "Spider-Man: Far From Home" (2019), and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021).
