Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022: ‘Attack on Titan,’ ‘Jujutsu Kaisen,’ ‘86 Eighty-Six’ among nominees for Anime of the Year


Crunchyroll has announced the nominees for its Anime Awards 2022!

As seen on the anime streaming platform’s website, big titles have been named among choices for Anime of the Year, including “86 Eighty-Six” and the final season of “Attack on Titan.”

Joining the two shows are “Jujutsu Kaisen (Cour 2),” “Oddtaxi,” “Ranking of Kings,” and “Sonny Boy.”

Included in the categories for the annual ceremony are Best Protagonist, Best Antagonist, Best Girl, Best Director, Best Character Design, Best Boy, Best Opening Sequence, and Best Score, among other awards.

Apart from a panel of 73 judges, the winners will also be based on the fans’ votes. Voting is now ongoing and will run until Jan. 25.

Last year, the annual awarding cast over 15 million votes from more than 200 countries. “Jujutsu Kaisen” was named Anime of the Year.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards, which is now on its sixth year, is a “celebration of creators, voice actors, studios and series from the past year that have excited and energized the global anime community.”

Winners of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022 will be announced on Feb. 9.
