'Mortal Kombat' live-action sequel reportedly in the works
"Mortal Kombat 2" is reportedly in the works!
According to Deadline, the hit live-action adaptation of the popular video game is getting a sequel.
New Line production studio has hired Jeremy Slater to write the script, the report said.
"Mortal Kombat" was released in theaters and HBO Max in April last year.
It is based on the video game series of the same name developed by Midway Games in 1992.
The game had been adapted into various media, including two major motion pictures "Mortal Kombat" (1995) and "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" (1997). —JCB, GMA News
