The first film revolves around Edward Elric's battle with Scar. In the trailer, the two could be seen battling it out in Central.
There were also scenes of Scar's past, including his experience in the Ishval Civil War.
The second film will conclude the story and will feature the final battle.
"Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Avenger Scar" will open on May 20, and "Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation" will open on June 24.
The first live-action "Fullmetal Alchemist" film was released in 2017.
"Fullmetal Alchemist," a popular manga by Hiromu Arakawa, just celebrated its 20th anniversary in July.
It follows two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, as they make the journey to restore their original bodies after they committed the alchemy taboo: human transmutation. —JCB, GMA News
