Britney Spears reportedly working on new music after six years
Is Britney Spears making a comeback?
According to a report on The Sun, music insiders claim that the iconic pop star's team is "putting feelers out about the prospect of new music."
"It is very early days and Britney isn’t putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything," the source was quoted as saying.
“Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved," they added.
The report added that while Britney has been through an "incredibly tough few years," she still loves making music and performing.
“To have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf," the source said.
Britney is now fully in charge of her career after her conservatorship, helmed by her father Jamie Spears, was terminated in November 2021.
In December, she said that she's not ready to return to making music.
“I guess it seems odd to most why I don’t even do music anymore... People have no idea the awful things they have done to me personally and after what I've been through, I'm scared of people and the business!!!,” she said in an Instagram post.
Britney last performed publicly in October 2018.
Her last full release was the album "Glory" in 2016. In 2020, she released a deluxe version. —JCB, GMA News
