Disney finally unveils title of 'Avatar' sequel film
The "Avatar" sequel finally got a title!
According to The Verge, Disney announced at CinemaCon that the upcoming film will be called "Avatar: The Way of Water."
It will be set more than a decade since the events of the first movie, which was released in 2009. The story will follow Jake, Neytiri, and their kids, and the "battles they fight to stay alive."
"Avatar: The Way of Water" is only the first sequel to look forward to, the report added. A third, fourth, and fifth movie are also in the works.
"Avatar" tells the story of Jake, who goes to the habitable moon Pandora for a corporate mission after humans deplete Earth's natural resources. Pandora is inhabited by a species called Na'vi.
To safely explore the planet, Jake uses a Na'vi-human hybrid called the avatar, and eventually gets accepted by the natives as one of their own. —JCB, GMA News
