Herlene Budol receives advice for Binibining Pilipinas 2022 from Willie Revillame

As the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant drew near, Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol sought advice from Willie Revillame.

As seen on her vlog Tuesday, Willie told her to stay true to who she was and answer questions the best way she could.

“Be yourself. Kung ano ka, kung ano ’yung sinimulan mo sa ‘Wowowin,’ ’yon ka. ’Pag tinanong ka na mag-English, meron kang interpreter. Joke lang ’yon pero be yourself,” he said.

“‘I am Filipina. Gusto ko sagutin ’to na para maintindihan ng aking mga kababayan. Hindi pa naman ako winner. Gusto kong sumagot ng kung ano ako at kung anong dapat nilang maintindihan,’” he said as an example of how she could answer in Filipino.

Herlene, meanwhile, said she had decided to speak Tagalog in the pageant.

Willie added that she should observe how Filipina Miss Universe queens competed during their time.

“Panoorin mo si Pia (Wurtzbach), the way she answers, si Catriona (Gray), si Gloria Diaz,” he said. “Panoorin mo sila lahat, kung paano sila sumagot.”

Before her debut in the pageant world as Binibining Pilipinas 2022 candidate No. 8, she joined showbiz and appeared on “Wowowin” as a contestant in 2019.

Prior to the competition, she had been serving looks with her fresh and sizzling beauty queen photos. She also already previously took a crack at a practice Q&A portion. – RC, GMA News
