Netflix cancels 'Resident Evil' series after one season —report
Looks like "Resident Evil" won't be returning for a second season.
According to a report on Deadline, Netflix has canceled the series after an underwhelming performance on the streaming platform.
The show debuted at no. 2 in July, fell to no. 3 the following week, before dropping out of the Top 10 on the third week, the report added.
It also garnered a 55% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 27% audience score.
The series was written by "Supernatural" executive producer and co-showrunner Andrew Dabb, and directed by Bronwen Hughes. Constantin Film, the studio is behind the Resident Evil movies, produced the film.
It was adapted from Capcom's survival horror game "Resident Evil" released in 1996. —JCB, GMA News
