Cute doggos slay the runway as PAWS hold Ginoo and Binibining Aspin 2022

Adorable aspins competed with their irresistible puppy dog eyes and creative costumes at the Ginoo and Binibining Aspin 2022.

According to Katrina Son's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Saturday, the event was organized by Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

The aspins strolled down the runway along with their fur parents, who were also in costume. Some carried placards declaring their love for aspins.

"Marami po tayong aspin at puspin sa kalye, sa kalsada, na napabayaan. So nananawagan po ako sa inyo na magkaroon ng malasakit," said Loreto Bonifacio Concepcion, owner of Binibining Aspin 2022 winner Kelly.

("We have so many aspin and puspin on the streets, on the roads, that are neglected. I call on everyone to have compassion for them.")

Janelle Manalang, the owner of Ginoong Aspin 2022, Brownie, said she rescued her fur baby from the dog meat trade.

PAWS hopes the event will help pet owners to care for aspins and refrain from discriminating against them in favor of other dog breeds.
