Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine in 'Deadpool 3'

Hugh Jackman is picking up his adamantium claws back up one more time!

The actor is reprising his role as Wolverine for his buddy Ryan Reynolds' film "Deadpool 3."

Reynold teased Jackman's return with a hilarious video on Twitter, in which he joked that he "really searched" his soul for ideas on the next installment of his superhero film.

"And I have nothing," he said humorously. "But we did have one idea. Hey, Hugh, you wanna play Wolverine one more time?"

Jackman, who was casually passing by behind him, said, "Yeah, sure, Ryan."

Whitney Houston's iconic "I Will Always Love You" then played, except the subtitles changed the lyrics to "I will always love Hugh."

Very on brand with these two stars' friendship.

Jackman played the role of X-men superhero Wolverine for 17 years before retiring the role in "Logan" (2017).

"I know Aussies are not known for leaving the party at the right time but (after) 17 years, it's time to leave the party," he said in an interview.

He played the fan-favorite clawed mutant in nine films — and is now apparently coming out of retirement for a tenth!

"Deadpool 3" will be the first film in the franchise to be made by Marvel Studios after 20th Century Fox released the first two in 2016 and 2018.

It is set for release in 2024. —JCB, GMA News
