Sharon Cuneta gifts son Miguel with a ‘simple phone’ for 13th birthday

Sharon Cuneta’s son Miguel is turning 13. Her gift? Something you now wouldn’t spot just about anywhere: a basic mobile phone with keypad.

The Megastar shared a photo of Miguel holding his phone on Instagram Tuesday, saying this has been a family tradition since her eldest, KC Concepcion. 

“(He) got a new, simple phone! All my kids started with simple cell phones! Look how happy he was to finally get one,” she wrote in the caption.

In the comments, several netizens couldn’t help but note how they couldn’t believe such a phone still exists on the market. Others, meanwhile, jokingly asked if they could play snake on Miguel’s phone.

At a time when everything has suddenly become touchscreen, how nice to see a teen being introduced to the classics.
