After winning DRPH, Precious Paula Nicole creates foundation to help the Golden Gays

Drag Race Philippines (DRPH) Season 1 winner Precious Paula Nicole held a thanksgiving party on Tuesday at Empty Stomach in BGC, where she announced the creation of her Precious Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping and supporting the Golden Gays.

The Golden Gays is itself a non-profit organization that provides care and support facilities for elderly members of the LGBT+ community.

“‘Yung pagkapanalo ko sa Drag Race, hindi lang ‘yun basta korona. Kayo ang korona kong lahat,” Precious told the golden lolas at the thanksgiving party.

“Hindi po nawala sa isip ko na tulungan kayo kapag meron na akong sapat na kakayanan,” she said.

Precious has long been a supporter of the Golden Gays, even before DRPH. She credits them as those "who started drag here in the Philippines."

“When I was starting [drag], sumasama lang ako sa mga friends ko na drag queens para bigyan ng tulong 'yung mga golden lolas natin na nawalan na po ng tahanan ngayon,” Precious even said in her introduction for DRPH.

Now that she has become the Philippines' first-ever drag superstar, Precious is keeping her promise to the Golden Gays. Expanding her previous efforts of holding events, the drag queen is now building a house for the Golden Gays.

“Dahil may mga taong nagmamahal sa ’kin at nagmamahal sa inyo, hindi po tayo titigil sa ganitong okasyon na lang. Ang 'Precious Thanksgiveyn' po ay magiging 'Precious Foundation' na,” she announced.

“Ngayon po, makakapagpatayo na tayo ng bahay para sa mga golden lolas soon,” Precious added. They are looking to complete the house in 2023, she told GMA News Online.

Among the Golden Gays present at Tuesday's event were Constantino Delos Reyes, Angeline Pascual, Ivy Wilson, and Mel Takay, who introduced themselves as though they were beauty pageant  candidates.

“Ako po si Mel Takay na nagsasabing mas magandang maghintay ng tamang panahon, kaysa masaktan ka ng paulit-ulit sa maling pagkakataon,” Mel quipped.

After the audience reacted to his statement, he immediately followed up with “at kung hindi sana ako nagmahal noon, ang dami ko sanang naipundar ngayon,” which made the attendees burst into laughter.

Also present during the thanksgiving party were Precious' Divine Divas sisters, Brigiding and Vinas DeLuxe.

Drag Race PH Untucked director Ice Seguerra also graced the event and performed his hit song "Pagdating Ng Panahon" while the golden lolas sang along.
