The 'Guardians of the Galaxy 3' trailer is an intergalactic emotional rollercoaster ride

The Guardians of the Galaxy are back for one last run.

Marvel just released the trailer for the highly-anticipated "Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3," a followup to the 2017 sequel of the well-loved franchise.
And while it's as exciting and funny as ever, there is an unmistakable tone of finality.

"We have been running our whole lives," Pete says.

Rocket responds, "I'm done running." Later, he adds, "We'll all fly away together, one last time."

In the latter part of the trailer, Groot yells, "We are Groot!"

Looks like we need to prepare tissues.

In January, director James Gunn said that this movie is the last time that everyone's favorite mismatched team of galactic superheroes will be seen together.

The first installation in the franchise, "Guardians of the Galaxy," was released in 2014.
