Leos, Scorpios, Cancers flex their zodiac signs the most in online dating app

Would you "swipe right" on people with zodiac signs Leo, Scorpio, and Cancer?

Astrology has long been a big hit among Millennials and Gen Z and unsurprisingly, they take the stars with them through their dating life.

From January to October 2022, Tinder surveyed 18-25 year old users in-app and learned that star signs were the most popular type of "descriptor" added by users in their Tinder bios.

"Leos, Scorpios, and Cancers were most likely to include their sign in their bios, and surprisingly, all star signs were most likely to match with the same zodiac sign," the study revealed.

Aside from the spike in Astrology descriptors, Tinder's Year in Swipe study also showed young singles are considering "situationship" as valid relationship status, with 48% of the respondents saying that they prefer situationship "as a way to develop a relationship with less pressure" over time.

The year-end study also named Quezon City the top online dating hotspot in the Philippines, followed by Cebu, Baguio, and Davao, among others. — LA, GMA Integrated News
