If Meta's study on content engagement says anything, it's that Filipino Facebook and Instagram users were beholden to animals and pets in 2022, engaging the most with animal videos and all things related to pets and "pawrenting."
Data collected from Q1 to Q3 of 2022 revealed that Filipinos loved seeing reels related to animals and pets across both Instagram and Facebook.
On Instagram, fashion, food and cooking, family and parenting, and travel followed animals and pets, while on Facebook, comedy or skits, sports, fashion, and family and parenting came after animals and pets.
In late 2021, Meta rolled out the Instagram Reels feature on Instagram, and it only became available on Facebook in early 2022. Since then, social media users have enjoyed a new way of creating and engaging with short-form video content. — LA, GMA Integrated News
