Rihanna wants new album out this year

You read that right — Rihanna wants to release new music this year!

After her undoubtedly legendary performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, the singer shared this revelation with British Vogue.

“I want it to be this year,” she said, referring to her long-awaited album. “Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year.”

Although Rihanna released two songs last year — "Lift Me Up" and "Born Again" for the soundtrack of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" — her last full-length release was "Anti" in 2016.

Describing "Anti" as her "most brilliant album," she admitted that she had been pressuring herself to create something just as good.

"So I realized that if I keep waiting until this feels right and perfect and better, maybe it's going to keep taking forever and maybe it'll never come out and no, I'm not down to that," she said.

"So I want to play. And by play, I mean I have my ideas in my head, but I can't say them out loud yet," she added.

Rihanna made a strong stage comeback with her Super Bowl performance, where she sang her top hits “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Work,” “Diamonds,” and many more.

She's also known for the songs "We Found Love," "Umbrella," and "S & M."

Shortly after her performance, she confirmed her second pregnancy. Last May, she gave birth to her first child with ASAP Rocky. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
