Miss Universe Philippines sets coronation night for May 13

Save the date, pageant fans!

Miss Universe Philippines has set its coronation night for May 13, Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

“The most beautiful day in the Philippines is on its way!” the organization said on Instagram.

This is the first edition of Miss Universe where married women and moms are allowed to compete.

The reigning Miss Universe Philippines is Celeste Cortesi. She bowed out early of the international pageant, which was the first time since 2009 that the Philippines’ bet did not make it to the semifinals. R’bonney Gabriel, who represented the USA, was crowned Miss Universe and is the first Filipino-American queen to have the title.

Kapuso actress pageant favorite Michelle Dee is once again competing for the title. She took part in the 2022 competition and was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism.

Michelle was also crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and finished in the top 12 of the global competition.
