'Insidious: The Red Door' to hold more midnight screenings nationwide this weekend


If you want a full horror experience, good news — "Insidious: The Red Door" is holding more midnight screenings nationwide this weekend.

The film will hold midnight shows on July 15 and 16 on even more screens than the opening day and opening weekend.

"Insidious: The Red Door" premiered on July 5 and broke the record for the biggest opening weekend in Philippine cinemas this year.

According to Columbia Pictures, the film's local distributor, "The Red Door" earned P205.6 million in five days after being shown on 542 screens in 206 locations.

This is also the biggest opening weekend of horror films all-time in the country, beating previous "Insidious" films, "The Conjuring," "IT," "Annabelle: Creation," as well as local titles "Deleter and "Feng Shui."

Starring Patrick Wilson, Ty Simpkins, and Rose Bryne, "Insidious: The Red Door" concludes the epic saga of the Lambert family.
