Mariel Padilla shares tips on how to successfully do a live selling side hustle

Since Mariel Padilla started doing live selling last year, she has become one of the fastest-rising personalities making money from this venture.

In Monday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Mariel shared her tips on how to successfully do live selling through social media.

Mariel's first tip is to be honest with the condition of the items you're selling.

"Kailangan sabihin natin sa mga viewers natin if merong mga flaws or signs of usage ['yung gamit]," she said.

"We have to be honest kung ano talaga ang condition ng bag," she added.

Her second tip is to use a separate mobile phone where potential buyers can text their interest in specific items.

"[This] way, iwas scammers para isa lang ang number, doon lang sila magte-text," she said.

"May mga nagma-mine tapos hindi naman talaga sila bumibili so sila 'yung mga joy miners," she added. "So ngayon, ang ginagawa ko, nagpapatext na po ako, you have to viber or whatsapp the certain number that I give [during live]."

In over a year of live selling, Mariel said it's a good side hustle where you can earn extra income.

"There are so many inspiring stories doon sa mga nagla-live selling na 'yun ang ginagawa nila para maitawid ang pamilya nila, and that's what I'm trying to do," she said.

Mariel is married to Senator Robin Padilla. They have two daughters: Maria Isabella and Maria Gabriela.
