Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez react to releasing their upcoming songs on the same day

Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez gave us some serious nostalgia when they reacted to their upcoming songs coming out on the same day.

Both stars reposted a clip from a “Hannah Montana” episode. To recall, Miley played the title character, whereas Selena appeared in several episodes as pop singer and Hannah’s rival, Mikayla.

The scene featured Hannah and Mikayla making witty jabs at each other about their characters’ new singles.

On Twitter, Miley said, “@selenagomez and I are both dropping our new SINGLEs SOON….. I SAY WE #USEDTOBEYOUNG.”

Selena meanwhile posted on her Instagram Story that she is so excited for August 25.

“@mileycyrus and I both have a SINGLE SOON and we are releasing on the same day,” she wrote. “We have been friends since WE USED TO BE YOUNG.”

Selena and Miley were widely believed to have had a feud during their Disney days, so seeing this interaction is enough to make fans smile.

Both are set to release their comeback songs on August 25. Selena’s titled “Single Soon,” and Miley’s is called “Used to be Young.”

Selena's last full-length release was in 2020 with the album "Rare" and was featured in the BLACKPINK song “Ice Cream” that same year. She released the Spanish single "De Una Vez," in 2021.
