Captivating Katkat says her impersonation of Joy Belmonte was 'on the spot'

Captivating Katkat's impressive impersonation of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte made her win this season's snatch game in "Drag Race Philippines."

For this week's episode, which aired Wednesday night, the remaining nine queens took on a tinikling run for the mini-challenge, with Matidluh winning with 45 seconds. It was her third consecutive time winning the mini-challenge in the show.

For the snatch game, the queens were challenged with improvisation skills by impersonating celebrities and famous personalities.

Arizona Brandy wowed as Adele, Bernie as Madam Inutz, Captivating Katkat as Joy Belmonte, Deedee Holiday as Meryl Streep and Jennifer Coolidge, Hana Beshie as Jessica Soho, Jade So as Queen Dura, ØV CÜNT as Zenaida Seva, and Veruschka Levels as Dionisa Pacquiao.

While each queen made the judges laugh at some point, only Captivating Katkat remained consistent and won the snatch game challenge.

In a Bekenemen viewing party on Wednesday night, Katkat said she was most worried about the snatch game because it was not her strongest suit.

“Ito ‘yung pinakamahirap na challenge, as in,” Katkat said.

“Sobrang happy ako [na nanalo ako]. Sinasabi ko sa lahat na sa snatch game ako pinakakinakabahan, na ma-safe lang ako, okay na ako,” she added.

Katkat also revealed it was her first time impersonating the QC mayor.

“Tsaka si Mayor Joy Belmonte, never ko siyang ginawa as in never ako nagpractice sa bahay, on the spot ko lang siya ginaya do’n sa araw na ‘yun,” she said.
