Beatrice Gomez reminisces Miss Universe Philippines journey: 'I'll do it all over again in a heartbeat'

Beatrice Gomez recalled on Saturday how joining Miss Universe Philippines and later representing the country in the Miss Universe pageant has changed her life forever.

On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 posted a throwback photo of herself wearing the crown and the Philippine sash.

In the caption, Bea remembered the time when she received a call from her manager two years ago, asking her if she wanted to represent Cebu City in Miss Universe Philippines 2021.

"I remembered clearly thinking, 'Well if I qualify, I might not win, but at least I tried. I'll be 27 in a year and might be missing the chance [so] heck yeah! Let's do this for the [bucket list]!'" Bea said in the caption.

"Little did I know, my life was about to change," she added.

Since then, Bea said time went by fast, yet "it still feels surreal."

"[Like] at any moment now I will be waking up from a dream," she said.

"I'll do it all over again in a heartbeat," she added.

Beatrice made history as the first openly gay Miss Universe Philippines.
