Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega are over the moon that their film "Firefly" is an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

In an interview on "Unang Hirit," Ysabel said that they were really hoping for it.

"We were so happy kasi when we were shooting the film, that's really what we had in mind, sana makapasok kaming MMFF," she said. "Kasi sobrang ganda ng story, sobrang inspiring ng movie, pang pamilya talaga."

"Sobrang happy kami and sobrang proud," she added.

Miguel said that it's a big achievement for both him and Ysabel.

He added that shooting the film was a fun and unique experience for him.

"Nag-enjoy ako, para kaming nag-ta-travel eh," he said, adding that they even went to Mt. Mayon in Albay, Bicol.

"Adventure talaga siya," he added.

Directed by Zig Dulay, “Firefly” is a coming-of-age road trip drama about a young boy who searches for the mythical island described in his mother’s bedtime stories.

It stars Alessandra de Rossi and Euwenn Mikaell, with Cherry Pie Picache, Epy Quizon, Yayoy Aguila, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Max Collins, and Kokoy de Santos joining the cast. The movie will also have the special participation of the Kapuso Primetime King, Dingdong Dantes!
