'Queendom' singers share their post-rehearsal treats, go-to relaxing songs, and more
The girls of the upcoming "Queendom: Live" are about to wow their fans, but before the epic concert, here are a few interesting things you should know about the Kapuso singers.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the girls shared what their go-to relaxing songs are, including the first meal they are planning to enjoy after their concert.
Songs that energize them
During times that they need to liven up and get energized, Thea Astley shared that she listens to Beyoncé’s “Plastic off the Sofa,” while Jessica Villarubin enjoys listening to Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good.”
ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” is Julie Anne San Jose’s pick, Jess Glyne’s “Hold My Hand” for Rita Daniela, Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” for Mariane Osabel, and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” for Hannah Precillas.
Songs that help them relax
Fr relaxation, Thea prefers Sara Bareilles’ “A Soft Place to Land,” Julie Anne likes John Mayer’s “Gravity,” and Hannah listens to Christopher Cross’s “Sailing.”
Mariane said any Adele song helps her relax, and both Jessica and Rita like listening to Christian songs.
Post-rehearsal treats
After a tiring rehearsal, Thea treats herself to a bowl of ramen, Jessica orders some Jollibee meals, and Julie Anne enjoys some hotpot.
Rita prefers any refreshing drink, Mariane loves a classic chocolate cake, and Hannah gets herself an iced coffee.
Would you rather sneeze or cough mid-performance?
The girls also got candid when they were asked an extra-fun question: Would you rather sneeze or cough in the middle of a performance?
Thea thought it would be funnier to have a sudden urge to sneeze, so she chose that option. Jessica, Julie Anne, and Hannah answered the same.
Meanwhile, Rita and Mariane chose the other option, which is coughing.
First meal after the concert
The girls couldn’t help but hide their excitement when they were asked what would be their first meal after “Queendom: Live.”
Thea said she will be having ice cream, Jessica will have cold coffee, and Julie Anne will be having steak.
Rita followed and listed: rice, soup, vegetables, and fruits.
Mariane said she would love to eat some chicken wings, parmesan-flavored to be exact, and Hannah is eyeing a Korean barbecue meal.
The group’s "Queendom: Live" epic concert will take place on Saturday, 8 p.m., at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Earlier, the singers shared that their friendship has no hint of competition or rivalry in it, which is key to how they maintain a harmonious relationship with each other. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
