National Food Fair to spotlight Cagayan Valley's products this July
The National Food Fair is fast approaching and it's bringing some of Cagayan Valley's finest food products to the fore.
The Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair will run from July 3 to 7 at Megatrade Halls 1-3 on the fifth level of Mega B, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.
The food fair will feature 20 micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises from Cagayan Valley as exhibitors to showcase their export-quality products. The food products, enhanced under the DTI Region 2's product development and food development program, aim to promote the region's special and distinct flavors.
Attendees can look forward to healthy treats and drinks, Halal-certified goods, fresh produce, and other products. These include, among others, tasty malunggay chips, ube powder, ginger tea, mushroom bagoong, "chicharabao," Tuguegarao longganisa, burong isda and hipon, and fruit wines. Wooden baskets, trays, kitchenware, and other handicrafts will also be available at the event.
