Marcos sings chorus of ‘Be My Lady’ at Konsyerto sa Palasyo

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Sunday sang a snippet of Martin Nievera's hit "Be My Lady" at the Konsyerto sa Palasyo in Malacañang, to rousing cheers from the audience.

Nievera, who was performing the song, went over and passed the mic to the President, who sang the chorus.

The fourth installment of the Konsyerto sa Palasyo was conducted to honor Filipino healthcare workers around the world.

Among the guests were the three United Kingdom-based nurses, who received the British Empire Medal for their service in healthcare.

Nievera is joined by other Filipino artists including the Douglas Nierras Powerdance dance group; ‘The Clash Philippines’ finalist Garrett Bolden; and singers Brenan Espartinez, Justin Taller, Alyn Magadia and Christel Galacan.

Theater artist Lara Maigue, aerial dancer Kristel de Catalina and former “The Voice Generation” contestants the Ayta Brothers were also among the performers.

The Konsyerto sa Palasyo was first held in April 2023, honoring the Armed Forces of the Philippines. — Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
