The Smashing Pumpkins to stage concert in Manila in September
The Smashing Pumpkins is set to return to the Philippines after 13 years!
According to concert promoter Pulp Live World on Tuesday, the Grammy award-winning American alternative rock band will bring their "Rock Invasion" world tour to the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on September 29, 8 p.m.
Vocalist Billy Corgan will be accompanied by guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.
Ticket prices range from P1,800 for general admission seats up to P8,800 for VIP A.
Ticket presale will be held on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. via Ticketnet online. Meanwhile, the general sale begins on June 1, 12 p.m., via Ticketnet online and outlets nationwide.

VIP A ticketholders are entitled to an official poster, a lanyard, a souvenir ID, and priority entry.
Aside from Manila, The Smashing Pumpkins will also have stops in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore. Afterward, the band will head to Bahrain in the Middle East.
The rock band was last in the Philippines in August 2012 for their "Oceania" world tour in support of their album of the same name.
The Smashing Pumpkins' hits include "1979," "Tonight, Tonight," Disarm," "Mayonnaise," "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," Today," and many more.
They won Best Hard Rock Performance for "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" and "The End is the Beginning is the End" at the Grammy Awards in 1997 and 1998, respectively.
In 2024, the band released their 13th studio album, titled "Aghori Mhori Mei."
Their 1995 album, "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness," will mark its 30th anniversary this year.
