Lola Amour drops new song 'The Moment,' announces sophomore album 'Love on Loop'
Lola Amour has a fun new single and they enlisted Kokoro of Japanese group Psychic Fever from Exile Tribe for it.
Titled “The Moment,” the track blends Lola Amour’s signature sound, some Japanese city pop elements, and Kokoro’s smooth vocals. The song is all about the excitement of meeting somebody new, having feelings for them, and wondering if these are mutual.
Alongside the track, the band also released a lyric video for “The Moment,” showing them during the songwriting and recording process.
But that's not all. The OPM band announced during an exclusive media conference at the Warner Music Philippines office that their second album, “Love on Loop,” is coming out on August 15.
Described as their most personal and sonically expansive project yet, the album explores the many phases of love, from infatuation and connection to distance and heartbreak, all wrapped in Lola Amour’s signature mix of pop, rock, and funk.
This year, Lola Amour released the singles “Maria,” “Misbehave,” and “Dance with My Mistakes,” the latter of which kickstarted a dance challenge with SB19 and their former bassist, Raymond King.
Lola Amour released their self-titled debut album in April 2024, and celebrated with a grand album launch at the Circuit Makati Event Grounds, a sold-out show at Draft Punk in Cebu, and an album tour.
They are best known for the songs, “Fallen,” “Maybe Maybe,” “Umiinit,” “Namimiss Ko Na,” and of course, “Raining in Manila.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
