Japanese Film Festival: 12 films screening in the Philippines this September


Japanese Film Festival in the Philippines opens this September

The Japanese Film Festival (JJF) Philippines is shaping up to be an exciting one!

From September 18 to October 26, screenings of Japanese films will be held at the Shangri-La Plaza, SM City Baguio, SM City Cebu, UP Film Institute, SM City Lanang, SM City Manila, and SM City Clark.

The JJF will stream 12 films, both classic and new releases: 

  • “Spirited Away” 
  • “Cells at Work!” 
  • “Showtime 7” 
  • “The Boy and the Dog”
  • “Teasing Master Takagi-san”
  • “Seven Samurai”
  • “Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom”
  • “A Samurai in Time”
  • “Evil Does Not Exist”
  • “18x2 Beyond Beautiful Days”
  • “Love Letter”
  • “Ghost in the Shell”

Ticketing and other information are yet to be announced.

JJF is organized by the Japan Foundation Manila, “a global organization dedicated to carrying out comprehensive international cultural exchange programs throughout the world,” according to the festival’s official website. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
