‘My Hero Academia’ live-action movie taps Jason Fuchs as writer

Jason Fuchs, known for his work on major films like “Wonder Woman” and “Argylle,” is taking on the live-action movie adaptation of “My Hero Academia.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fuchs was tapped to write the feature film.

Beyond film, Fuchs is also the co-creator, co-showrunner, and executive producer of the upcoming horror series “It: Welcome to Derry.”

Meanwhile, Shinsuke Sato remains set to direct the project.

The feature is being backed by Netflix and Legendary, who have been developing the adaptation for several years.

Based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi, “My Hero Academia” follows the story of Midoriya Izuku, who was born "quirkless" in a world of superpowered beings, as he journeys into becoming a hero.
