'DRPH: Slaysian Royale:' Bernie emotional on exit following Jiggly Caliente's death

Bernie became the first Filipina queen to exit "Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale," but the trans artist admitted her elimination was not what made her emotional during the show, but the passing of Jiggly Caliente.

At a Bekenemen viewing party hosted by Baus Rufo and Myx Chanel, Bernie revealed that the filming day of the "Homecoming Queens" episode coincided with the day news of Jiggly’s passing was announced.

Jiggly passed away on April 27. She was 44.

"Sa totoo lang, hindi ako naiiyak sa episode na 'yan kasi 'yan 'yung nawala si Jiggly eh," she said.

"Naghalo halo 'yung emotion ko sa time na 'yun, hindi ko na inintindi 'yung competition kung mawala man ako diyan, mas inintindi ko si Jiggly kasi before mag 'Slaysian Royale,' nagmessage pa siya sa 'kin na magpapagaling siya," she added.

When it comes to being eliminated instead of Arizona Brandy, her closest friend in the competition, with whom she shared the bottom placement, Bernie said there were no hard feelings.

"Okay lang sakin na siya 'yung makapasok pero natanggal ako kasi sabi ko ang dami nang opportunity na dumating sa buhay ko, sabi ko mas kailangan niya," she said.

Following this season's format, the two top queens, Brigiding and Suki Doll, lip-synced for their legacy and decided who would be eliminated.

In the end, Brigiding secured her first RuBadge of the season and sent Bernie home.

"Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale" streams every Wednesday exclusively on WOW Presents Plus.
