From walkathons to purrades: Halloween 2025 events for pets in the Philippines

Malls and event venues across the Philippines are preparing Halloween activities not just for humans but also for pets.

From mall runways and festival parades to a magical beachside pawrty, furbabies across the country will have their chance to show off their best costumes and enjoy treats with their fellow furry friends.

Here are pet-friendly Halloween events you can check out this October.

Robinsons’ Malls Horror Pets-tival

Beginning October 4, several Robinsons Malls, including Ilocos, Gapan, Galleria Ortigas, Galleria South, Bacolod, Tagum, Las Piñas, Butuan, Pavia, and Roxas, will host the “Horror Pets-tival.”

The event will feature pet talks, games and prizes, loot bags, and giveaways, and a Best Pet OOTD Showdown.

Petskara at the Masskara Festival

On October 12, Bacolod-based BACH Project PH will hold “Petskara” at the Megaworld Pet Park and Bacolod City Government Center Grounds.

For a registration fee of P150, participants and their pets can take part in games, fashion showcases, and activities throughout the day, with proceeds going directly to animal welfare efforts.

On October 18 at 3 p.m., Acuaverde Beach Resort in Batangas will transform its beachfront into “Dogwarts” for a Harry Pawtter-themed Halloween pawrty.

Pets and their owners are invited to enjoy a magical afternoon of costumes and activities by the sea.

Spooky Walkathon by Pet Lovers Centre

On October 25, Pet Lovers Centre will hold the “Spooky Walkathon 2025” at Bridgetowne Destination Estate in Pasig City.

The 2.5-kilometer walk begins at a 4 p.m. assembly and a 5 p.m. gun start, with a P350 registration fee that includes treats and activities for participants.

Registration may be done at Robinsons Antipolo, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, and Ayala Malls Feliz.

Howl-O-Ween Purrade at BlueWave Mall

Also on October 25, BlueWave Mall in Marikina will host the “Howl-O-Ween Purrade 2025” from 3 to 5 p.m.

The program includes a pet trick-or-treat and costume contest with awards, prizes, and giveaways for both winners and fur parents.

One Thrill & Tricks at One Mall

One Mall in Valenzuela will stage the “One Thrill & Tricks: Pets Halloween Party 2025” on October 25 at 2 p.m.

Registration requires a minimum purchase of P300 from any One Mall store dated between October 6 and 24, with slots available at the administration office. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
