Tarantadong Kalbo shares 'proof of life' artwork following health scare
Tarantadong Kalbo, or Kevin Eric Raymundo, is now “resting and recovering.”
In an update shared by his wife on the illustrator's Instagram account, she posted a “proof of life” drawing by Kevin, assuring supporters that he is on the road to recovery.
Kevin will soon be transferred to the Philippine Heart Center and is scheduled to undergo an angiogram and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), “the results of which will determine whether he needs an angioplasty or bypass surgery,” said her wife.
In the social media update, Kevin’s wife also expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who reached out to offer support and prayers.
“Maraming salamat sa mga nagpaabot ng pangungumusta at suporta, nagdasal, at yumakap in-person at virtual sa amin ni Kevin,” she wrote.
“Hindi man namin kayo mapasalamatan isa-isa, please know that we greatly appreciate all of the help,” she added.
“Please continue to pray for my husband. Thank you. Dedma sa bashers,” she said.
Taratandong Kalbo was “urgently rushed” to the hospital on October 5 after suffering a transient ischemic attack (TIA), also known as a “mini stroke.”
According to Mayo Clinic, TIA serves as a warning of a future stroke and a chance to prevent it from happening.
Tarantadong Kalbo is an illustrator who burst into the mainstream with his "Tumindig" artwork. He continues to speak up on social issues and Filipino culture through his art.
