Brigiding says winning ‘DRPH: Slaysian Royale’ is a full-circle moment

For Brigiding, winning the “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale” is a full-circle moment.

On Instagram, the Filipina drag queen shared photos of herself from the recently concluded show, along with a reflection on her journey.

Brigiding looked back on the first time she watched a live drag performance, of Mama Shue Bagets at the famed O Bar in Malate, "and that was the moment I knew. I could be a queen."

"I just never imagined that 12 years later, I’d be wearing a crown on the biggest drag stage in the world,” Brigiding said.

"Winning Slaysian Royale is more than a dream come true - it’s a full-circle story," she wrote.

"What started as a small spark became a journey that changed my life forever. Every highs and lows, every yes and nos, is a reminder that learning is the new winning."

Brigiding emerged victorious after a fierce lip sync for the crown battle against Viñas DeLuxe to the song “Born to Do Drag” by Marina Summers.

She took home a grand prize of P2 million, a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, and a spot in the Slaysian Royale Hall of Fame.

Before Slaysian, Brigiding was among the competitors of the first-ever "Drag Race Philippines," where she finished in sixth place.

Upon returning to the Drag Race stage — competing against international queens this time, Brigiding became among Slaysian's frontrunners. She earned three RuBadges in the episodes “Homecoming Queen,” “Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown,” and “High Time.”
